Set in Belgium, Method of Exhaustion follows Joe Iverson, an American expatriate struggling to communicate with people, not only because of the language barrier but also because of a personality disorder he may or may not even have.
Fueling his distress is the possibility that he is being haunted by his recently-deceased sister. Joe finds unexpected solace in Elsie Vieuxpont, a talented musician with a hidden obsession—one that may explain the sudden appearance of Joe’s sister.
Joe’s own obsession with mathematics pushes him to try solving one of the world’s greatest numerical mysteries—factoring large numbers into primes. In the process he and Elsie find themselves involved in what could turn out to be the biggest bank heist in history, one that can only be stopped if Joe and Elsie can defeat their own personal demons.

Spin Half is a tale of literary magical realism that follows the lives of eight people who, years ago, were touched by common disaster while hiking the Inca Trail in the Peruvian Andes. Each suffers lingering effects—some of which can’t necessarily be explained naturally. This tells the story of how they were impacted by the event, how they cope with its effects, and how they reunite to resolve the imbalance it has caused.
Boy in the Wind (excerpt)
Corbin Bonhomme is a divorced drunkard of a father with a gambling problem on a bad-luck streak that would make even Odysseus seem downright Irish. Pursued by a ruthless loan shark for an impossible sum of money, Corbin’s troubles peak when he faces eviction and his ex-wife threatens to take custody of their children.
His luck turns when his father leaves him an expensive violin in his will. But when he loses the violin, regains it, then loses it again, Corbin must come to terms with the kind of father he is and the kind of man his own father wanted him to be. Corbin’s ordeal brings consequences he could never have dreamed as the violin’s surprising history comes to light.
